Unwanted Hair

Why shave when you can save?

A woman shaves her legs 11, 500 times during her life and spends an estimated $12,000 on shaving. Save time and money with laser hair removal.

Advance from Razor to Laser

Today, laser hair removal is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the U.S. Laser hair removal is a safe alternative to remove unwanted facial or body hair eliminating razor burn and shave bumps. Unlike waxing, shaving, plucking or electrolysis, you can get permanent hair reduction with each treatment.

The laser targets the hair follicle at the root and is effective in removing hair from dark-skin patients, as well as, light-skin patients. SCL specializes in treatments for all skin types. Hair color must contain melanin or color. Laser will not target white or gray hair.

If you are planning on laser hair removal, you should not pluck, wax, or have electrolysis for at least four weeks prior to your treatment, since the laser targets the hairs' roots. Hair must be closely shaved or trimmed on your treatment day or the day before your treatment allowing the laser to target its energy to the hair root (not surface hair). Typically, six to eight treatments, about 4 to 6 weeks apart depending on the area, are generally needed for optimal results. Once you complete your series, periodic maintenance treatments may be recommended to keep hair reduction maintained. Laser hair removal is quite successful for most clients; however, there are hormonal factors that play a huge part in overall success of hair reduction.
