Dermaplaning is a highly skilled, skin-care exfoliation treatment that removes the top-most dead skin cells and vellus hair, aka peach fuzz, from the skin’s surface. It is a safe, painless and quite relaxing treatment, provided the person performing the treatment is experienced and properly trained. An aesthetician uses a surgical sterile blade to gently scrape off dulling dead skin cells leaving the surface very smooth, and brighter.

Dermaplaning allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly.

Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with acneic skin. If you have deep cystic acne, wait until breakouts are clear before trying this treatment. If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities let your esthetician know before starting a treatment.
