What Happens During Laser Hair Removal Treatment?

Southern Cosmetic Laser hair removal involves several steps. Once you schedule an appointment, you will need to shave prior to your treatment. You will need to avoid plucking, waxing, threading and depilatory creams at least three weeks prior to treatment. During your day of treatment, the following will occur:

  1. Clean the treatment area to kill germs and bacteria
  2. Provide you with protective goggles or glasses to wear.
  3. Commence laser hair removal treatment using our cutting-edge lasers.
  4. A topical cooling product such as aloe may be applied after the treatment.
  5. Send you on your way feeling smooth and satisfied.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Services usually require an average of six to eight sessions with periodic touchups. However, sessions vary depending on your schedule and the area of your body that needs treatment. You may need more services on areas where hair grows quickly, like your upper lip. Some areas, like places on your back, will not require as many laser treatment sessions.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Many of our patients know they want anti-aging services like fillers to help smooth out wrinkles and help lift. However, they don't know how dermal fillers, or injectables, work.

As people age, they lose collagen, elastin, and perhaps more importantly, hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture in your skin. Injectables that utilize hyaluronic acid and other substances help replace lost moisture, resulting in fuller, more radiant skin. Injectables and fillers can also help add extra volume to your lips and cheeks and firm up saggy skin.

Often, our patients see results after a single treatment, which can last as long as 9 to 18 months. Our patients choose Southern Cosmetic Laser because our fillers give a natural-looking result without affecting facial expressions, making for a discreet yet effective treatment.

Where Are Injectables Used?

We discuss and explain various types of fillers and decide which is best for you.

At Southern Cosmetic Laser, we offer personalized filler services for a number of problem areas, such as:

  1. Marionette Lines: These lines go directly down from the corners of your mouth and become more pronounced over time as your face loses volume.
  2. Cheeks: As you age, your cheeks lose volume, making you look gaunt and elderly. Our fillers plump up your cheeks, giving you a more youthful look without plastic surgery.
  3. Lips: Plumping up our patient's lips is one of our most popular injectable skincare services in Manning. Our lip filler services are customized to each patient's preference, meaning we can help with subtle enhancements or obvious upgrades.
  4. Jaw and jawline areas.

Clarendon County will soon be home to 84 Lumber’s second component plant in South Carolina, a $13.4 million investment that is expected to create 78 new jobs. The building materials supplier, which has been recognized on Forbes’ list of America’s largest private companies, announced its decision to open a new manufacturing facility on Ram Bay Road, solidifying its commitment to South Carolina’s growing economy.

Founded in 1956, 84 Lumber provides a range of building materials, including manufactured components and installation services for both residential and commercial construction. The new facility in Manning will focus on manufacturing floor and roof trusses, a crucial component in modern construction. The plant will serve markets along the coast of South Carolina, including Savannah, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach. This new development follows the opening of 84 Lumber’s first South Carolina truss plant in Lugoff, which was announced in December 2023.

The new operation underscores the company’s investment in the local community and the future of South Carolina’s manufacturing sector. Ken Kucera, Vice President of Installed Sales and Manufacturing at 84 Lumber, expressed the company’s enthusiasm about this latest venture.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our new component plant in Manning, South Carolina,” Kucera said. “This facility is an investment in both the future of the company and the local community. We’re bringing a dedicated workforce and cutting-edge technology. We’re excited for the bright future as we continue to grow.”

The project also reflects broader state and local efforts to attract investment and spur job creation. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits to support 84 Lumber’s investment. In addition, a $200,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant was awarded to Clarendon County to help with building improvements related to the project.

State and local leaders welcomed the company’s decision to expand in Clarendon County, highlighting the impact it will have on the local economy and job market.

“Congratulations to 84 Lumber and Clarendon County on this announcement that will bring 78 new jobs to South Carolina,” said Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III. “This investment will contribute greatly to the local economy, and we are excited about the company’s expansion in our state.”

The new plant is expected to strengthen not only Clarendon County’s economy but also South Carolina’s thriving forestry and timber industry. State Forester Scott Phillips noted that 84 Lumber’s investment demonstrates the state’s ability to support forest-based economic development.

“Our record level of timber supports exactly this kind of forest-based economic development, which is a testament to the private landowners whose sustainably managed forestlands power one of the state’s leading industries,” Phillips said.

The local government also played a key role in facilitating 84 Lumber’s expansion in Manning. Clarendon County Council Chairman Dwight L. Stewart Jr. emphasized the significance of the project for the local community.

“There’s no better way to mark the end of summer than by welcoming a new business to Clarendon County,” Stewart said. “The arrival of 84 Lumber not only bolsters our manufacturing sector but also reinforces our forestry industry.”

State Senator Johnson also expressed his gratitude to those involved in bringing the project to fruition. “Thank you to those who put the work in to make this economic development project happen in Clarendon County. Specifically, I want to thank Chairman Dwight Stewart and Clarendon County Council, Director George Kosinski and The Clarendon County Development Board, Director Lightsey and the S.C. Commerce Department for bringing this investment along with new job opportunities to Clarendon County.”

Representative Fawn Pedalino echoed those sentiments, underscoring the broader impact of the company’s investment on the community.

“I am absolutely thrilled to see 84 Lumber expand in Clarendon County!” Pedalino said. “This $13.4 million investment not only brings 78 well-paying jobs to our community but also highlights the incredible momentum we are building here. With companies like 84 Lumber and Latitude Corp recognizing the potential of our region, we are on a path to continued growth, economic development, and prosperity for all of Clarendon County. I encourage anyone looking for a rewarding career opportunity to explore the positions being offered by these innovative companies. Together, we are building a brighter future for our community!”

The announcement is a testament to Clarendon County’s growing appeal as a hub for industrial development. Matthew Shaffer, Chairman of the Central South Carolina Alliance, noted the significance of 84 Lumber’s investment.

“This exciting development is a testament to the momentum we’ve built, creating a business-friendly environment where companies thrive and residents enjoy an outstanding quality of life,” Shaffer said. “This investment by 84 Lumber not only strengthens our industrial base but also demonstrates that our region continues to be a prime destination for industry growth and opportunity.”

As 84 Lumber continues to expand its operations in South Carolina, the company encourages individuals interested in joining their team to visit their careers page for more information.
